2024 Top NCAA Football Teams To Sell

Updated: Aug 16

*In parenthesis is the team's 2023 record

1. New Mexico St. (10-5)- HC Tony Sanchez has yet to post a winning season in 5 years as a HC at the FBS level.  With questions at QB following the departure of Diego Pavia to Vanderbilt the Aggies will be hard pressed to reach a third straight bowl game.

OVER/UNDER TOTAL WINS 4.5

2. UCLA (8-5)- A new staff entering a new conference will be a difficult task for the Bruins.  Add a brutally difficult front end of the schedule to the mix and this has the making of a rough 2024 in DeShaun Foster's HC debut.

OVER/UNDER TOTAL WINS 4.5

3. Duke (8-5)- New HC Manny Diaz compiled a pedestrian 21-15 record in 3 seasons at Miami from 2019-21.  Winning at Duke is a much tougher task and with QB Riley Leonard off to Notre Dame the Blue Devils could dip below 500 in Diaz’s first season in Durham

OVER/UNDER TOTAL WINS 5.5

4. Michigan (15-0)- The defending National Champions enter 2024 with too many question marks.  With an unproven 1st-year coach as well as massive roster turnover on both sides of the ball posting a winning record against a challenging schedule would be a success even for Michigan.

OVER/UNDER TOTAL WINS 8.5

5. Jacksonville St. (9-4)- The Gamecocks' defense faces a lot of uncertainty with a new coordinator and many of last year's key pieces gone. A tougher schedule this time around that includes road games against C-USA favorites Liberty and WKU makes matching last year's 9 wins seem far-fetched.

OVER/UNDER TOTAL WINS 7.5

6. South Alabama (7-6)- New HC Major Applewhite takes over a roster decimated by graduation and the transfer portal. With a challenging front end of the schedule the Jaguars' hopes for a third straight bowl bid could end abruptly.

OVER/UNDER TOTAL WINS 6.5

7. Ga. Southern (6-7)- The Eagles rode QB Davis Brin (3,781 pass yards, 24 TD's) to bowl eligibility in 2023. With no proven commodity to replace Brin and a schedule that features 10 bowl participants from last year, third-year HC Clay Helton (12-14) could be coaching to keep his job come November.

OVER/UNDER TOTAL WINS 5.5

8. Florida St. (13-1)- The Noles once again reloaded the roster with talent via the transfer portal. However, with only 10 returning starters on the roster and a new QB in Uiagalelei, who will be learning his third system in as many seasons, expect a drop off from last year's 13-1 mark

OVER/UNDER TOTAL WINS 9.5
