Why New York will win- QB Daniel Jones and the Giants offense comes in riding high following their upset road victory over the 3rd seeded Vikings. Jones, who was making his first career playoff start, completed 24-35 passes for 301 yards and 2 TD’s while also rushing for 78 yards. RB Saquon Barkley added 2 rushing TD’s including the go-ahead score midway thru the 4th quarter. The Giants could be catching the Eagles at the right time. Injuries to key players blunted Philadelphia’ momentum down the stretch losing 2 of their last 4 to barley hang onto the NFC East crown and the number 1 seed.
Why Philadelphia will win- The bye week should have given the Eagles time to get healthy. In their December 11th meeting the offense gashed the Giants porous rush defense for 253 yards in route to a 48-22 win in East Rutherford. RB Miles Sanders led the attack with 144 yards on 17 carries along with 2 TD’s. QB Jalen Hurts added 77 yards and a TD as well. Philadelphia’s defense leads the league in sacks with 70 and should be primed for a big day against the Giants O-line that has struggled to protect Jones all season.
Eye Test Analytics Predicted Outcome- Philadelphia by 9.12 points
